During this time of the year, snowfall takes place in most of the European and American countries. This day is mostly celebrated with family and close ones.
People decorate their houses, make tasty food and exchange gifts with their loved ones.
On the 1st of December my family and I go to the shops and buy a special new tree decoration.
My parents have been collecting Christmas decorations for years and nothing matches on purpose.
When we welcome joy and good cheer into our homes, when we sing carols, wear our best, cook up feasts, and celebrate with our near and dear ones. I am sure you must have all started to shop for gifts, to pull out the lights and decorations that you had put away last year, and plan to hunt for the perfect Christmas tree.
Back home your mothers will have started to soak the fruits that go into her special Christmas cake and you must be awaiting Santa Claus with his reindeer sleigh – perhaps even wonder what Christmas gifts he will leave under your tree this year.Although the main celebration takes place on this day but the preparations start almost a week ago. The approaching New Year makes this occasion filled with happiness and joy. Also, it is the time of vacations so people get to spend time with family and enjoy it to the fullest. My Christmas is special because of these very traditions which we have formed as a family. The 1st of December is my favorite day in the year because it marks the beginning of my Christmas. After dinner comes the washing up, which we all help with. Then we enjoy family games which we either got that day or we dig out the old classics. It is something which everyone gets involved in and has a great laugh over. After the tree is up, the excessive amount of food has been brought, then the family all come down for the big day.We live all over now so the traditions have had to be adapted slightly. Our family traditions at Christmas have been adapted since people have moved away however, we always make the effort to be together and play games together. Our traditions are much the same as any family; we eat, we give gifts and be merry.
